Passionate about water safety and helping every swimmer find their confidence.
Hi, I'm Brooklyn! 👋
I've been passionate about swimming my entire life. Growing up near the water in the Okanagan, I learned early on how transformative it is when a child discovers they can move confidently through the water — and how important that skill is for safety.
After completing my swim instructor certification and lifeguard training, I began teaching in community pools and quickly realized that the most rewarding part of my day was watching a nervous child take their first independent stroke, or seeing a parent's face light up when their toddler kicked their legs for the first time.
I founded Ms. Brooklyn's Swim Lessons to bring flexible, high-quality instruction directly to families across the Okanagan — at Casa Loma Beach, Jade Bay Beach, and Strathcona — on a schedule that works for them, all summer long.

Teaching Philosophy
I believe that every person — regardless of age or ability — deserves to feel safe and joyful in the water. My teaching is built on three pillars:

Every child learns at their own pace. Ms. Brooklyn meets each swimmer exactly where they are, celebrating progress without pressure.
Small Class Sizes
Group lessons are kept intentionally small so every student receives meaningful attention and personalized feedback.
Skill-Based Progression
Lessons follow a structured curriculum that builds skills logically — from water comfort to stroke technique and water safety.
